Palm Sunday 2020 at Saint Nicholas

Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, and commemorates the triumphant arrival of Christ in Jerusalem, days before he was crucified.
Almighty ever-living God, who as an example of humility for the human race to follow
caused our Savior to take flesh and submit to the Cross, graciously grant that we may heed his lesson of patient suffering and so merit a share in his Resurrection.
(Opening Prayer for Palm Sunday)
Father Hill concelebrated the Palm Sunday Mass.
Deacon Eric proclaimed the First Reading and Responsorial Psalm.
As we remember the suffering and death of Jesus, we are drawn more deeply into the mystery of God’s steadfast love for all humanity: God so loved the world that he sent his only Son that all may be saved.
Following the Mass, Father Hill, Deacon Eric, Kyle, and I took a picture together, a proper, social distancing group picture, that is.
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
